Ellis Forest

Ellis serves as Nelson & Galbreath’s Builder Services Managing Attorney. He ensures that our builder clients are provided with excellent communication, timely document preparation and delivery, and seamless closings. Furthermore, Ellis provides our builder clients and developer clients with legal advice regarding lot purchase agreements, raw land development, and subdivision buildout.

Originally from Mount Airy (Mayberry), NC, Ellis has been a practicing attorney in Greenville since 2017. Prior to his move to Greenville from Atlanta, GA, Ellis was a commercial transaction counsel for First American Title National Commercial Services. At First American, Ellis not only closed commercial transactions, he was also responsible for underwriting pre-closing, new construction, and development projects. In addition to Ellis’ legal real estate experience, prior to law school, Ellis was a commercial real estate broker in Wilmington, NC. Combined, Ellis has over 16 years of experience working in the real estate field. Ellis is married to Meghan, who works as a second-grade teacher at Camperdown Academy, and they have two children, Audrey and Brynn, both toddlers. When Ellis is not spending time with his family or working, you can find him on the local tennis courts.
