Jeff Harris is New Jersey born, and Florida bred, but found his home in Upstate South Carolina when he attended Furman University.  Upon graduation, Jeff started his career as a residential real estate attorney in Columbia, SC.  Upon his return to the Upstate and Nelson & Galbreath, Jeff practiced as a Title Underwriting Attorney, developing valuable back-end skills in analysis, review, and correction of land title.  He has since joined the commercial real estate group, where he represents various parties in all aspects of real estate transactions: buyers, sellers, lenders, developers, landlords, and tenants.  His practice includes drafting and negotiating all documents related to:  purchase and sale transactions, lease agreements, loan documentation, and all related matters and documents.  Jeff strives to provide proactive, practical, thorough legal perspectives to his clients in order to move projects forward smoothly, efficiently, and on schedule.

Jeff also serves clients looking to engage in new projects and ventures, to expand or sell an existing business, as well as business owners looking for outside general counsel assistance.  A strategy and process focused, project-minded individual himself, Jeff works with clients not only to assess and navigate both the legal and governmental intricacies of their business, real estate, and development projects, but also leverages his experience and knowledge to provide strategic and procedural perspective when necessary and beneficial.
